ADNOC LNG operates an LNG Plant at Das Island consists of 2 identical trains (Trains l & ll) and a newer third train (Train-lll). The existing substations (6 No’s) S/S- U, T1, T2, 2, 4 & 5 were constructed in 1975 and partly strengthened in 1988. The buildings are experiencing progressive concrete and steel deterioration that compromise operation of switchgears and transformers.

ADNOC LNG had appointed ILF to assess the structural integrity of the substation buildings, evaluate remnant life and various rehabilitation options for substation buildings and carry out the FEED for the selected option to extend its life by at least 15 years. ILF engaged MR Vision to carry out the Remnant Life Analysis for Rehabilitation of Trains 1 & 2 Substation Buildings.
